Whats happens next

Once you have completed and returned the application form it will be processed in our office.

If you have not completed or missed any part of the form or not provided all the information requested we will simply highlight the missing/incomplete sections and return the form to you.  We will take no further action until it is returned completed.

If all the sections have been completed you will receive a letter confirming that you are now on our list, this can take two weeks.  Please do not chase us until two weeks have elapsed without any reply.

Once you have received this letter you will remain on our list until either you request to be removed or you are housed or we cannot contact you.

As we have very few homes available for letting, we only progress an application once we know that there is a possibility of housing becoming available.


Keeping your details up to date

It is very important that you keep your contact and other details with us up to date, but other than providing updates there is no need for you to contact our offices.


When your form is reviewed

Your form will be held until a house matching the size you require becomes available.  We will then review your application alongside all the others for that size of house. 

So if you need a 3 bedroom house we will review your form every time we have a suitable 3 bedroom house available.

From this process we normally short-list 2 or 3 applications.

We will contact you if you are successful at this stage to ask you to fill in a more comprehensive form.


If you have not heard from us in a long time, this does not mean that we have lost your details or decided not to house you.

As long as you have not moved house or asked to be removed from the applications list, you will remain on our list but we recommend that everyone pursues all alternative housing options.


Please do not call us just to confirm you are still on the list
 – if you have had an acknowledgement letter and not moved house you will still be on our list.

From time to time we will contact you by post to ask you to fill in a new application form – this is to ensure the details we hold remain up to date and are relevant.
